Here’s what you need to complete:
- Date – Write the current date.
- Greeting – Add the senator’s name after “Dear” (e.g., Dear Senator Maria Thompson).
- Name – You may enter your full name or your first name and last initial (e.g., John D.).
- City, State – Fill in your city and state.
- Zip Code – Add your zip code only.
Note: You do not need to include your full home address—just your city, state, and zip code.

➤ Addressing The Envelope
Once your letter is complete, follow the mailing instructions provided. Your letter should be sent from A Letter for Democracy, along with your name—written exactly as it appears in the letter. The envelope should be addressed to the same senator listed in your letter. Do not include your home address, as it is not required.
Please remember to always be consistent with your name. This helps alert the reader to who you are and builds recognition over time—consistency is key to success. Be sure to include your city, state, and ZIP code in the letter.
Before mailing, neatly fold your letter and place it in the envelope to ensure it looks respectful and professional.
Thank you for standing up for truth, justice, and democracy—one letter at a time.
